Soul Surfer: The Movie
When I first heard that Soul Surfer was going to the big screen, I was ecstatic. Then it kind of wore off until I heard it was going to be released April 8, 2011. It seems as though time has flown to the date and I anxiously wait to see the story of Christian surfer, Bethany Hamilton. This movie takes place in Hawaii where, 7 years ago, Bethany Hamilton was attacked by a shark and lost her arm while out on the waves, surfing. Not three months afterward, she was back on her board, at it again. She stayed strong in her faith and encouraged people worldwide to remain strong in tough times. As she quickly became popular for her perseverance, producers figured out that it would make a touching story for the big screen. So, here we are, ready for the premier.
